OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

Country Management Support Units (CSUs) have been established in the organisational structure to provide support for Managers and staff to fully assume their responsibilities in the GSM environment and to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, rules and regulations on all administrative and financial matters and transactions in the context of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

1. End User Support:--> Assist staff on usage of WHO software, applications and tools;--> Assist in the deployment and implementation of WHO applications and other computer programs;--> Support meeting participants and address/troubleshoot any issues--> Prepare and install the equipment prior to the meeting in collaboration with the venue focal points2. IT infrastructure support:--> Assist in the deployment and support of LAN/WLAN/WAN and data communications systems as per AFRO ICT Standard (Windows Operating Systems, TCP/IP, Ethernet, VPN, PBX, application servers, IP telephony, DNS, DHCP, etc;--> Install, maintain and troubleshoot end user devices according to WHO ICT standards;--> Assist in maintaining the inventory of ICT equipment;--> Administer Servers and Printer services3. Reporting:--> Contribute to the monthly ICT activity report.--> Provide technical report concerning ICT related activities and update it;--> Report on activities undertaken4. Other--> Perform other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential: Completion of secondary school education or equivalent technical AND MICROSOFT CERTIFICATE,CISCO certificate
Desirable: ITIL or MTA or CCNA certificates would be an asset
Experience

Essential: At least8 years of experience of user support in information and communications technology.
Desirable: Experience in the integrating Voice, Video and Data Communications as well as Mobile system; LAN support; desktop/laptop troubleshootingMS Windows operating system, MS Office supports, IP v4 addressing, Internet.
Skills

Work requires very good knowledge of LAN and TCP/IP networking, Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Office. Good knowledge of desktop security tools including firewall, web filter, Virus and malware protection; Good knowledge of helpdesk procedures; Good knowledge of Database; Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems; ability to write technical reports.

REMUNERATION

WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at ZAR 294,127 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
