The Customer Liaison Team Leader is responsible for managing the operations and achievement of collections targets in the field. The incumbent requires supervisory and coordinating skills to ensure all Tracers, Drivers, Sheriffs and other external parties are coordinated and their performance tracked against agreements. The incumbent's responsibilities include ensuring that money is collected or assets repossessed within legal regulations and applicable codes of conduct. The ultimate goal is to ensure agents rehabilitate clients and maintain clients for the company, whilst assertively collecting assets if the clients are evidently absconding.
experience and qualifications
Minimum Qualification - Grade 12 / National Certificate in Commerce
Preferred Qualification - Diploma / Advanced Certificate in Commerce or Criminology
Experience - Three to five years experience in debt collections, two years in a supervisory capacity will be preferred

In accordance with National Credit Act (NCA) candidates applying for this role will require a credit record check. The successful candidate will look after a team of external tracers and their performance. Must be able to manage a team Assertiveness Decision making Negotiation skills SLA Management – Ensuring suppliers are held to their signed SLA’s, timelines etc. Candidate must have completed the Team Leaders Program or similar leadership program.

Manages and reports on cost usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters
Ensures customer excellence through interaction with internal and external customers throughout all business activities
Ensures continuous process improvement to enable effective operational processes
Manages people performance in the area of responsibility
Participates in planned activities that are appropriate for own and staff development
Monitors and reports on relevant processes, ensuring a strong feedback loop that enables effective tactical and operational decision-making
Contributes to cost efficiencies
