The Faircape Group operates 6 high end retirement/lifestyle villages in the Western Cape. Locations of these estates are in Noordhoek, Kirstenhof, Tokai, Somerset West and Onrus.

Bridgewater Manor has a vacancy for an organised, professional and presentable Receptionist to manage the Front of House in the healthcare facility.

Duties will include, but not be limited to:
DAILY TASKS TO BE DONE EVERY MORNING
Collect newspapers at security on arrival and deliver to residents
Switch on Assisted Living lounge lights
Open all blinds in Healthcare – ensure all in working order and neat
Turn TV’s onto appropriate channels
Open all garden umbrellas and ensure garden furniture is neat and clean
Check on resident rooms and passages, report on maintenance issues
Check Duty Sister’s communication diary for appointments, messages, instructions and convey to relevant departments
Ensure communication with Healthcare facility is conducted in a professional manner
Keep duty station neat and clean at all times
Display weekly menu
RECEPTION AND ADMINISTRATION
Meet and greet all visitors into the Healthcare in a courteous and efficient manner and ensure they are welcomed and orientated into Healthcare facilities
Answer all telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner, within 3 rings
Receive and convey messages in writing, verbally and electronically to the relevant person timeously
Open, stamp and distribute all incoming mail appropriately daily
Ensure communication in the Healthcare facility is conducted in a professional manner
Check Duty Sisters’ communication diary for appointments, messages, instructions and convey to relevant departments / personnel daily
Keep the Duty Station neat and clean at all times
Ensure that fax machine, copier and printers are sufficiently stocked with paper at all times
Ensure all administrative duties relating to the efficient running of the Duty Station is completed accurately and timeously
Attend to all deliveries, queries, maintenance and sub-contractors entering the healthcare unit
Collect newspapers at security on arrival and deliver to residents
HEALTH & SAFETY
Ensure all incidents loaded on ECP within 5 days, and given to the Unit Manager for investigation. Risk Management report to be scanned to Claremont offices;
Check key register weekly;
Test panic button as required monthly;
Test weekly fire alarm with Duty Sister and ensure log book is updated accurately.
Working Hours:
Normal working days are Monday to Friday from 07h00 until 16h00 / 08h00 until 17h00 and every alternate Saturday from 09h00 until 11h00.
Requirements:
Senior Certificate (advantageous)
Previous experience as Receptionist
Professional communication skills and telephone etiquette
Experience in hospital/medical environment advantageous
Strong interpersonal skills
Neat, professional and presentable
Customer service orientated
