The main purpose of the role is to process student registrations (Revenue, Debtors and Cash), respond to finance-related student queries and processing suspensions, deferrals and cancellations for our GetSmarter courses. Key responsibilities

Process accounting transactions related to GetSmarter student registrations, cancellations, deferrals and suspensions

Perform revenue, debtor and cash reconciliations for GetSmarter

Monitor and update revenue and debtor reporting for GetSmarter courses

Respond to finance-related student queries in relation to courses via email and phone call

Deliver an exceptional customer journey

The role will alternate between working on local and international courses on a monthly basis

Job requirements

Studied an accounting diploma or degree, financially literate with a good understanding of accounting for transactions and the ability to perform reconciliations

General computer literacy and specific skill in Microsoft Excel or Google sheets

Fair understanding of systems, information processing, data integrity and information reporting

Good interpersonal skills and communication skills and taking customer experience to the next level (resolving customer queries)

Experience with dealing with international customers (UK and USA) is not required, but an advantage

May require working shifts when working on international courses

Ability to work under pressure with high volumes of daily processing and student queries

Ability to work independently and being highly reliable

Ability to think in a systematic fashion

Ability to conceptualise and implement process improvements

High level of attention to detail and ensuring processing accuracy

Ability to speak directly to students over the phone and communicate via email

Willingness to learn and improve

Working hours on international courses: Shift 1 being 8am - 5pm and shift 2 being 3pm - 12am
