Who is eligible to apply?
Unemployed South African graduates, with tertiary qualifications (Degree or National Diploma) in the abovementioned field of study, who have not been previously employed and attended any internship programme.
The duration of the Internship will be one year with a monthly stipend of R5 000.00 paid to successful candidate.
Natural Science qualification (Honours / MSc)
High level of computer literacy in the MS Office Suite
Experience and proficiency in developing, populating and managing Excel databases
Proficiency in English with analytical and excellent writing skills
Self-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver’s licence is essential
The intern will assist the Senior Manager Policy Research and Development with tasks relating to:
The development and of a database to record the use of biotic and abiotic resources in national parks
Interviews to determine resource use in parks
The review and collating of comments relating to legislation and internal policies and procedures
Assistance with quarterly reporting responsibilities for Conservation Services
